Technical Writing in all its Glory
The beauty that is technical writing...
Technical writing is a form of writing that involves breaking down complex technical terms into simpler and clearer terms.
This form of writing basically answers the question of "how does this work". Although the primary aim is to break technical content down into the lay man's language, it is not limited to only where computers and software are involved. It has proven to be useful in any field where complex ideas and procedures need to be communicated.
Technical writing aims at sending useful and accurate information to the target audience. To this effect, a technical writer must be able to conduct thorough research on whatever topic he/she is to write on. This form of writing is completely different from creative writing; while a creative writer may build content around fictitious stories, a technical writer must build his content based on verified facts.
Let's talk Web Dev: Front End
Web development is the process involved in building a website for an end user.
There are two sides to every web site: the client side, i.e. the side the client can see and interact with and the server side i.e., the side the client cannot see or interact with. The client side is also called the Front End while the server side is also called the Back End.
The guide for building the front end of any website should be;
Making it as user friendly and as easy to navigate as possible.
Digital Marketing (online market)
Digital Marketing is a fancy name for convincing people online to buy what you sell. It involves using forms of digital communication to promote goods and services.
A digital marketer's best tool is his ability to tell the story of a product to a potential customer and draw that customer to buy from him.
Data Science
Data science is the use of scientific methods to study data, interpret and apply the knowledge gotten.
Data scientists employ the use of mathematics and statistics to study and interpret data.
Design (UI)
I feel like we do not appreciate UI designers enough. You are probably wondering why. That great look you get on the app you are using, it is the work of a UI designer.
UI is an acronym for User Interface.
The user interface of a product is the point of interaction between the user and that product. A user interface designer handles the look, feel and interactivity of a product.
